Dodson & Horrell Build Up Conditioning Mix
High oil conditioning mix • fortified with added lysine, yeast & herbs
💪 Base Mix
⌄
Using this mix as a base
This is a conditioning-style mix with a slightly richer nutritional profile than a simple maintenance feed. Suggested base mix ratios

- Higher condition focus: 50% Build Up + 50% lighter cereal / fibre mix, while monitoring what gets selected first
- DIY variety blends: use smaller amounts if you want the extra oil and conditioning support without making the whole mix too rich

Baileys Soft & Lite
High-fibre, low-starch mix • useful as a lighter base mix in custom blends
🌿 Base Mix
⌄
Using Baileys Soft & Lite as a base
Although this was previously positioned as a booster, it also works very nicely as a lighter, fibre-forward base mix component when you want something less rich and less cereal-heavy. It is especially handy in blends that need extra texture, chew time and fibre without pushing starch or sugar too high.
Suggested base mix ratios
- Balanced blend: 30–50% Baileys Soft & Lite + 50–70% second base mix / nuggets
- Fibre-forward blend: 40–60% Baileys Soft & Lite + richer or more varied base mixes
- Selective feeders: pair with a more uniform mix so the overall bowl still feels balanced
Why add Baileys Soft & Lite?
- Boosts fibre and chew time
- Low starch & sugar compared with many richer mixes
- Adds texture for foraging-style feeding
- Helps balance richer, cereal-heavy or more selective blends
Composition (summary)
A fibre-focused blend including grass products, beet pulp, cereal fibres, oilseeds and supporting ingredients chosen for digestibility and gut support.
