How does it work?

1. Fill Add a few favourite treats or pieces of dry food to the compartments.
2. Attach Secure the puzzle wheel firmly to the cage bars.
3. Forage! Let your pets investigate and figure out how to reach their rewards.

🍓 What can I put inside?

Try small portions of your rats' normal dry mix, seeds, cereals or favourite dry treats. You can also mix several different foods between the five compartments to make exploring the wheel even more rewarding.

Using part of their normal food allowance rather than always adding extra treats is a great way to provide enrichment without unnecessarily increasing their daily intake.

🧠 Keep it interesting

Enrichment works best when it isn't completely predictable. Change what goes inside, move the wheel to a different suitable position in the cage, or occasionally remove it and reintroduce it later.

A little novelty can turn an everyday piece of food into something much more interesting.

Mischief Made Tip: Got a rat who solves everything in seconds? Don't underestimate the value of making them forage for their regular food too. A few pieces of their normal mix hidden amongst the compartments can make dinner much more interesting.
